For Christ's sake make a foodbuzz account and vote already!

No one has come forward yet.  I am starting to think I am crazy and typed ‘baby cows’ into google search myself in my sleep.  Please don’t make me feel like a crazy person.  I know you are out there.  Come to me child, let us drink red wine and giggle.

This is a reminder to all of you, yes- you closet readers- who have not yet signed up for foodbuzz and voted for a sister.  (a shank you berry amuch amomma loves you!)

Let me just tell you something.  Voting closes tonight. At 8 PM (Chicago time).  You have until 8 PM tonight to vote Amuse Bouche into the next round of Project Food Blog. I have NO IDEA how well we are doing because it’s anonymous, like prom queen or some shit.

And I am sorry that I have slacked on cooking this week but NEWSFLASH I made a turducken on Sunday and sometimes that wipes a sister out! HOKAY?!?!

Tomorrow night there will be a feast of ethnic kings, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it!

Ethnic Kings? Whitney, don’t you have stomach problems? Is that really a good idea? Listen, I am just planning ahead for round 2 of Project Food Blog. Below is the prompt and you will see that I have no say in the matter.  (Yes. It is called positive thinking, I am planning ahead in the event that I move forward in PFB.)  If not…well, there will be red wine. And it’ll be Friday so you know I’ll be waking up on Saturday with stained lips and teeth.

Project Food Blog Challenge #2 - The Classics
  • Submissions Open: 2PM CHICAGO Time September 24th through 5PM CHICAGO Time September 26th.
  • Voting Open: 8AM CHICAGO Time September 27th through 8PM CHICAGO Time September 30th.
  • 200 Winners Announced: 2PM CHICAGO Time October 1st
Challenge Prompt: Ready to tackle a classic dish from another culture? Pick an ethnic classic that is outside your comfort zone or are not as familiar with. You should include how you arrived at this decision in your post. Do your research, then try to pull off successfully creating this challenge. Try to keep the dish as authentic as the real deal, and document your experience through a compelling post.

I’ve picked a place. I’ve researched the bejesus out of it, now it’s time walk the walk.  Wish me luck. I’m effin’ sure I’ll need it!  Any guesses on where it is? (Kelley I swear to God if you ruin this..!!!!!!)

Love,
Whit

  1. I guess we're both positive thinkers, Whit! I did the same thing last night. Picked my country and dish(es)...so I'm good to go if/when I do advance :)!

  6. PLEEEASE tell me it's Indian food. I am vaguely recalling an event that involved Misfitz, Indian food, and the destruction of Srini's bathroom by someone's bowels. I think this was you? It could have been someone else, but you came to mind first hahaha.
