The Assault of Napa Valley

YEAS, I am alive in well in the Frisco.  I am sorr to have left you wondering how the assault of Napa went, but alas, our swanky hotel did not give us free internet, and I don't know if you've heard, but the wine in Napa ain't cheap son.

So we started our KLASSY fancy thursday off at Boulange, a french bakery / cafe here in SF, and it's my speed.  YEAS, its dark out, cause its like 4 am. Ok fine it was 7:30, same dif.

While there, we found 2 lovers. The are obviously deep in conversation, as you can see here.

So while enjoying ourselves our first preferred libation of the day (coffee, duh) we flirted with that little guy, and planned the epic assault of Napa Valley.
We arrived at 9:30 am in Napa Valley, frolicked on to the tour bus, which took us to ohhhh 6 wineries. Do you know what happens on a trip to 6 wineries in 1 day?  One of 2 things.  Either you get all smart and start talking about cassis or you get drunk and EVERYTHING tastes like the GREATEST wine you have ever had in your life.

Both happened to me yesterday.  Every red wine had cassis.  Every wine was better than the previous.  I'll give you more details and photos later on, but below, please see one of the klassiest, fanciest thursdays of all.  Oh, and it hailed in Chicago while i was in Napa... BAHAHAHAHHAH.

Dear Chicago, you're officially ugly.

Only the best raisins, ever.

Dutch Henry, also makes olive oil. Dare I say, Love.

Sadie, the hussie.

He supposedly opens for Michael of the Doobie Brothers? whelp, he likes girls.

No words.

It truly was a successful assault.  So successful, that we were asleep by 9 pm.  As mentioned, I'll give you a proper run down later, but know that I have been galavanting around with some amazing food bloggers, exploring San Francisco, and pretty much loving life.

Love,

Whit

I'm so glad you had the opportunity to visit Napa while you were here. It's one of my favorite places on Earth. Which other wineries did you go to?
